Network Configuration Service
The right connection for any network
You built your network to meet the needs of your business. So Cbeyond configures its routers to meet those needs. We have three options to meet your needs and support the connection that fits your network. And because we have more than one solution, you can expand your network architecture as your business grows - and still enjoy the benefits of Cbeyond service.
Features & Benefits
Whatever computers, servers and other devices are networked together for your business, you can connect them to the Internet. We give you the appropriate configuration, so you get the maximum benefit from your Cbeyond service. And it's easy to add work-stations as you grow your business.
The Cbeyond Advantage
Cbeyond doesn't limit you to a single network configuration scheme. And, with CbeyondOnline™, our account management tool, you can manage your private IP addresses, DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), NAT (Network Address Translation) and port forwarding day or night. All changes you make will be updated on Cbeyond's network immediately!
Product Specs
Cbeyond offers three basic configuration options to connect your network to ours:
- Standard configuration. Ideal for businesses operating a basic network with no servers that need Internet access. Uses Network Address Translation (NAT) to separate your internal network from the Internet.
- Standard configuration with port forwarding. Best for businesses with up to 10 common servers needing Internet access. Uses NAT, but also allows certain types of traffic to reach designated servers through port forwarding on the Integrated Access Device.
- Multinet configuration. The choice for businesses running multiple servers of the same traffic type, or running a server type not supported by Cbeyond's port forwarding configurations. Multinet allows you to run both a public and an internal subnet at the same time. You control which servers have static IP addresses and which have internal IP addresses.
